Christine's Flowers Review

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. Perhaps, but how long it takes to get there depends on the flower shop.
I called Christine's about 2:30 in the afternoon when I heard a friend was having a really rotten day. I wanted to cheer her up. Christine's said they were pretty busy and they couldn't guarantee same day. I said that was fine, but I explained how my friend needed a pickup so if there was anything they could do for same day it would be appreciated.

The flowers arrived on her desk. . . Wait for it . . .  23 minutes later!

And they were gorgeous. Well worth the money I spent.

My friend was very happy. I was very happy. I will use Christine's again many times in the future.

a.hana Design Review

10 stars to Asako!!  She is amazing.  She is a sweet, gentle, calm woman with a lot of experience and knowledge of flowers.  She delivers the highest quality flowers at a reasonable price.  If I ever need flowers again, I know exactly who to turn to!!

I met Asako to go over my idea about my
wedding flower.  I had a very small wedding (less than 10 people) and she did not seem disappointed that I would need too many flowers.  She actually seemed to look forward to attending to all the flowers herself, which she did.

It was always very easy to contact her ( I did mostly by email).  She chose high end, less common flowers, which I appreciated.  She must have gotten up really early the day of my wedding, because she went to the flower market that morning so I could have the freshest flowers possible.  She then made all the pieces by hand, and the detailing is meticulous.  She wrapped all the stems carefully with beautiful ribbon, and secured them with pearled pins.  I could tell her Japanese heritage from her flowers, which reflected her pride in her details.  Even my photographer, who exclusively shoots weddings, was impressed by her designs and asked for her contact information.

Bottom line:  Call her now!!  You will be lucky to secure her services and I wouldn't be surprised if her rates go up soon, as I expect she will be very busy as people learn about her.  She was an absolute steal for the quality of her work, and she was such a pleasure to work with!!

Thank you Asako!

Studio Choo Review

Wow.  Studio Choo did the flowers for my wedding last weekend at the Headlands Center for the Arts and I was completely blown away.  I met with four florists before deciding to go with Studio Choo and could not be happier with my decision.  From the beginning Jill and Alethea were a complete dream to work with.  Our initial consultation was at a coffee shop in the Mission with both of our little dogs in tow.  It was then that I realized Studio Choo was not like other typical wedding florist-- what a breath of fresh air!  On top of completely understanding my vision (local, seasonal, wildflowery) they were extremely reasonable.  My floral budget was pretty tight and they had no problem at all working with me (unlike some of the other florists I met with who quoted me almost three times as much for fewer arrangements!).

On the day of the wedding, Jill and Alethea added so many beautiful, unique, unforgettable touches.  They strung amazing little gourd garlands across the stairway balconies, put together Fall "tablescapes" using my vintage bottle collection on the cocktail tables, and wound delicate fragrant vines through the non-working sinks in the bathrooms.  But my bouquet took the cake-- it was seriously the most beautiful bridal bouquet I had ever seen.  I was amazed that they understood so exactly what I wanted from the dozen or so photographs I had sent them.

I feel extremely lucky and honored to have had Studio Choo do my wedding arrangements.  The flowers were elegant, unpretentious, imaginative, unique, fresh and bright-- just like Jill and Alethea.  I couldn't recommend them enough.

SOMA Flowers Review

SoMa Flower is a "mom & pop" wholesale flower shop that's been in the business for a long time.  This is the go-to place for my events & flower occasions for years.  Hang around the shop for a minute then you will quickly find out they are passionate about flowers.  Watching the mom at work is incredible,  she treat her customer like her own family members.  She is knowledgeable, cares about my event and want all the best me.  It's too bad that certain people mistook this loving, caring gestures as pushy.

SoMa also have a wide selection of custom leis.  The mom work at superhuman speed to ensure that my leis are fresh.  I understand certain flowers are delicate and are prone to bruising so I did not mind the 10 minute wait for her unique masterpiece.  Considering the high quality product, they could have charge a lot more but I am glad they did not.  I totally recommend SoMa to everyone who is on budget but refuse to sacrifice on quality.

Natalie Bowen Designs Review

The flowers for the wedding were great. I'm so happy with the work Natalie did. What was really great was how much Natalie put into ensuring that I was happy with my bridal bouquet.I really wanted to have peonies, but unfortunately they were out of season. Natalie did find some peonies, but they were not up to her quality standard. So in an effort to still acheive the look I wanted. She scoured the market for other types of flowers and sent me pictures to make sure I liked them.  I was very happy with the bouquet and all my bridesmaids commented on how lovely it was and how they loved their own bouquets. Would recommend her to anyone looking for a florist.

Natalie has GREAT taste. I'm having my wedding at Foreign Cinema and she happens to be the house florist. I've always admired her work at the restaurant and knew she would be the perfect florist for me. Her arrangements are very modern, so I can't speak to her ability to create an english tea party type look, but it works very well for the space and for our wedding style.
